Clinical Support Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures Administer medications or injections as directed by the provider Collect and prepare laboratory specimens Administrative Duties Schedule appointments and manage patient records Greet patients and verify insurance and medical history Handle billing and coding support for insurance claims Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries Patient Care Educate patients on treatments, medications, and follow-up care Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines Coordination Liaise with labs, pharmacies, and other medical offices Help manage inventory of medical supplies and restocking
Clinical Skills: Blood draws, EKGs, injections, specimen handling Technical Tools: EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) Communication: Clear verbal and written communication with patients and team Organizational Skills: Multitasking, attention to detail, recordkeeping Customer Service: Professional, empathetic, and responsive patient interaction
