Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Cloud Migration Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of cloud migration projects. You’ll work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to design strategies, migrate on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Job tasks and Responsibilities

Assess existing infrastructure, applications, and data to define migration scope and readiness Develop detailed cloud migration plans and timelines Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) Execute migrations including data transfer, rehosting, refactoring, and testing. Monitor and optimize performance during and after migratio. Identify and mitigate migration risks to minimize downtime Document migration processes, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams Collaborate with developers, security teams, and stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business goals

Skills and experience

Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with common migration strategies: lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting Familiarity with tools like AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, or Google Cloud Migrate. Understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and security in cloud environments. Solid scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to automate migration tasks. Ability to troubleshoot complex migration issues under pressure. Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
